What do you do in February in DC?

Run a 5K! It's only 18 degrees outside, exactly ZERO with the windchill! But, my friend Michelle and I decided that we needed to "remember what it feels like to run fast" so we got up early, well, not too early, and headed out to Annapolis on a very frigid February morning, to run in the Valentine's Day 5K.

We ended up sitting in the car until 5 minutes before the race, enjoying the full benefit of those wonderful seat-warmers in the brand new Volvo, keeping our tushes warm until the absolute last moment, when we ran to the start line, and took off with all the other crazy runners.

I really don't remember much else, other than it was COLD. And Michelle beat me. Again. We finished 8/9th age group, 24th/25th Female, and 119/120th overall, under 24 minutes--not our finest effort, but not bad for February and FREEZING!!!
